Today, for better or for worse, the internet tends to dominate how most people consume new music. Between streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music, artist driven releases on Bandcamp, YouTube videos, and Soundcloud (just to name a few of the available outlets), the internet plays a pivotal role in both how artists control distribution of their work and how fans consume new music. However, the internet is vast, and there’s no one centralized way to keep informed of what’s new.
This is where we come in. Noisewire aims to be a go-to resource for information regarding new releases in Industrial and Goth music. We are a collective of like minded music enthusiasts, musicians, and DJs who get excited sharing new music with others. We don’t claim to be music experts, or judge or shame anyone’s taste, but we hope to increase awareness of the music and artists we enjoy through this interactive website.
In addition to our monthly new music dump, we plan to - offer interviews with active musicians and scene professionals, curate a playlist highlighting some of the best of the month’s featured content, share tour dates for relevant artists, feature visual artists who contribute to our scene’s aesthetic, as well as feature interesting articles written by like minded individuals.
We hope to foster a community and are always looking for help. If you feel you have something you’d like to contribute, please don’t hesitate to reach out to info@noisewire.org
