David Christian has carved out a permanent impression of himself in the dark electronic and techno scenes. From his origins in New York City producing minimal experimental techno with free software under the moniker Cervello Elettronico, David Christian developed a name for himself with remixes for the seminal power noise band Terrorfakt, and features on the Endzeit Bunkertracks compilation series. Today, he resides in LA where he continues to champion industrial music in the scene there, booking various shows and events under the moniker LA Industrial. He currently supports Claus Larsen with bookings for Leæther Strip in the US, as well as continues to produce music as both Cervello Elettronico, and the more stripped down and accessible Damascus Knives.
In this video interview, DJ William from Noisewire got a chance to chat with David Christian about his motivations for cultivating the scene in LA, his upcoming Cervello Elettronico release on Hands, the differences creatively between Cervello Elettronico and Damascus Knives, and what it's like to work with Claus Larsen of Leæther Strip.
