Distant Stares is the goth / post-punk solo project of Lassi, a Finnish guitarist and producer. Since 2022, Distant Stares has released an impressive catalog of classic dark goth music, weaving catchy bass lines with dissonant, moody guitar riffs laid over minimal synth textures. Now a five-piece, Distant Stares is producing some of their best work to date, bringing new life to their sound without sacrificing the dark undercurrents that define them.

Earlier in November 2025, Chris got the chance to meet with Lassi to talk about his music. They discussed his journey as an early musician from metal to goth, his writing and recording process, past and prospective collaborations, and the newest Distant Stares video for Epitaph.
